Letter from Ms. Sarah Zuckermann, Vice-President of the SSVPM
My name is Sarah Zuckermann and I am a board member of the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul de Montréal. Today, I would like to talk to you about our food assistance program, which is essential in helping the most vulnerable.
Life is unpredictable and can confront us with many obstacles. At a young age, I realized that we can all find ourselves in a situation where we need the commitment and assistance of our community. My father grew up in London after World War II. His family lost everything when they fled Germany. Throughout my life, my father shared with me the emotional and social challenges his family faced as a result of that trauma. The repercussions were enormous.
It is this experience that motivates me today to contribute my professional skills to the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul de Montréal as a board member. The mission of this organization, to serve people experiencing difficult situations, regardless of their culture, language, or religion, is very dear to my heart.
The services provided by the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul de Montréal are incredibly important. We offer a vital resource to those who need to meet a basic need: food. We provide food supplies to thousands of households every year. The donations we receive allow us to purchase these products and distribute them to hungry families and individuals. Your donation, no matter the size, will have a real impact on our ability to provide this food assistance and can make a significant difference in the lives of the people we serve.
In these challenging times, it is more crucial than ever to support each other as a community. We rely on your contribution to maintain this essential service.
