Solidarity Article #5
Dear volunteers, do you know how precious you are?
I hope to be able to express my gratitude to you through these few words.
Volunteering, although it does not generate financial compensation, offers a wealth of meaning, human connections and kindness of heart. Carrying out a cause like that of the Society of Saint-Vincent de Paul of Montreal is beautiful, it is noble, it is great. So many people are in need, especially in these difficult times.
You make a difference by giving your time. And no, you don't just give your time, but your energy, your smiles, your inner light. You bring comfort to those who feel alone or who are living in a precarious situation.
As we celebrated National Seniors Day on October 1, I would like to thank all the retirees who are actively involved; you are indispensable. You are part of a generation that has a big heart, and has been for a long time.
Continue to inspire young people so that they too can follow in your footsteps. Long live your legacy and may we learn from your inspiring dedication by continuing together to support the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Montreal and its mission: the fight against poverty.
From the bottom of my hearts: thank you!
